A Challenging Project

Mr. Shabby and I found this old chest in a yard sale for $40 last month
It has about ten coats of thick paint and Mr. S. had been diligently working on removing them.  Needless to say it's not the kind of work one likes to do on a hot Texas back porch.

However, the scraping  has revealed a beautiful quarter sawn golden oak, with gorgeous brass keyholes.    The original pulls have been replaced with plastic.  We have been looking for brass replacements on Ebay and other on-line sites;  but wowiee, they are expensive.
The going is slow especially when the stripper is an avid golfer.
Stripping is not one of my favorite activities but if one must strip, this product is great.  Stay tuned.
